Head coach of Abia Warriors, Abdullahi Biffo, has said that his team has accomplished their major aim this season, which was to remain in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The Umuahia club have 45 points with one round of fixtures to go and are two points above the relegation pack.

They host Shooting Stars who are already safe too, on the final day of this season on Sunday.

Biffo believes that Abia Warriors are already safe even before the match, after they took a point off title chases Rivers United last weekend.

“We will end the season unbeaten in six matches and we will remain in the league by finishing the job at home in our last game,” he said.

“We went to a difficult ground (Rivers United) to pick the point that will save us from relegation.

“The target set for me was to help the team remain in the NPFL.

“It is already an accomplished season for me.”
