Coach Imama Amapakabo has put pen to paper, on a new two-year contract with Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Enugu Rangers.
The tactician led the Flying Antelopes, to their first league title in 32 years last season (http://dailypost.ng/2016/10/02/enugu-rangers-confirmed-npfl-champions/).
His decision to extend his stay with the Enugu team, was confirmed on Ranger’s official Twitter handle on Wednesday. The announcement ends speculations linking Amakapabo with a move to another NPFL club.
“It’s official: coach Imama Amapakabo signs a two year extension with us,” the club posted.
Amapakabo himself later confirmed the new deal via his Twitter acccount.
He wrote: “It’s official. We can go to work now, all hands on deck.”
The new deal ties him to the club until 2018.
Rangers will represent Nigeria in next season’s CAF Champions League competition.
