Head coach of Enugu Rangers, Imama Amapakabo, has blamed fatigue caused by fixture congestion, for their 2-1 defeat to MFM on Friday night.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions lost to a youthful MFM at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
“It was not a bad game. We only paid the price for playing three matches in five days,” Amapakabo said.
“I must say kudos to my players because this is their third match in just five days. They put in their best but it was not enough to pick a point.
“I don’t expect more than what they have exhibited because they are not machines.”
Rangers sit in 16th place on the table, with nine points from eight matches.
