ABS FC goalkeeper, Sulaimon Dogo, insists they have shifted their focus to Sunday’s topflight fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors, following their FA Cup defeat to Kwara United.
The Saraki Boys lost 1-0 to the Harmony Boys in the final of the Kwara State FA Cup at the Kwara Stadium Complex over the weekend.
But Dogo says they have gotten over the loss and are looking forward to playing the Desert Warriors.
“We didn’t plan to lose the cup final to Kwara United. Anyway, that’s in the past. The future is more important,” Dogo told Goal.
“El Kanemi Warriors are a tough team, there’s no doubt about that, and the match against them is going to be a war.
“Everyone here is focused on El Kanemi Warriors. For us the most important match is the one we have next at home – we will think about the rest when we get there.
“If we win our week 20 match, that will put us in a good position when we take face others in our subsequent games.
“I’m aware that the boys will be highly motivated for the match. We are improving in every game and this is the most important thing. We are growing up as a team. We are in 12th spot. We are now going to try and get up to the top three in the second round.”
