Abia Warriors’ Austin Obarakpo has applauded the League Management Company (LMC) for their effort to improve the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Super Eagles defender is especially happy with the qualify of referee performance, in the first round of the 2016/2017 season.
“So far so good I think this 2016/17 season has been interesting. Officiating has improved compared to previous season because that’s an important aspect of the game,” Obarakpo told Goal.
“I want to commend the League Management Company for the positive impact and I want encourage them to continue at that level.
On his absence from action, the defender said: “As regards my injury, I am fit and I’ve been training, I promise my fans they will see more of me in the second round.”
