Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) has sympathised with the government and people of Kogi State on the fatal auto crash which injured Governor Idris Wada and killed his Aide de Camp, ASP Idris Mohammed.
The accident occurred on the Lokoja-Ajaokuta highway on Friday afternoon.
Chairman of the forum and Governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, called for special “prayers for Governor Wada in order to enable him fulfil his vision for a great Kogi State”.
A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Danladi Ndayebo, said the forum was deeply saddened over the incident, which came barely two weeks after the helicopter crash that killed one of its former members, Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State.
The forum called on Nigerians to pray for the quick recovery of Governor Wada.
The statement further described the death of the ADC, Idris Mohammed, who died in active service as a big loss to Kogi State and Nigeria, praying that God should grant his soul eternal rest, and his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
