Nollywood actress, Adeoye reported dead

Popular Yoruba actress, Motunrayo Adeoye has been reported dead.

Adeoye reportedly passed away in Ibadan, Oyo State after battling a chronic ulcer.

According to reports, the talented actress died this morning June 1, 2018.

She will be buried today at her residence located at Akobo Ojurin, Ibadan Oyo State according to Islamic rite.

Adeoye was among the 10 most featured veteran Yoruba actresses in the industry. She was a niece to a first-class traditional ruler in Yorubaland, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alafin of Oyo.

She joined BCOS Communication, Ibadan in the 70’s as a studio/audio engineer. Almost immediately after her retirement in 2010, she went fully into acting.

Her role in Kunle Afod’s hit movie, Igbekun brought her into spotlight.
