Nollywood actor,Nonso Diobi, who was recently involved in an accident, has decried lack of support from ‘so called friends’, stating that the movie industry is filled with ‘people who don’t care about each other.’
DAILY POST recalls that the light-skinned actor on Monday disclosed that he was involved in an accident.
In a ‘thankful’ Instagram post @nonsodiobi1, the ‘Next Door Neighbour’ actor had shared a photo of his injured wrapped leg.
“Had an accident yesterday (Sunday) evening, my leg all plastered up but I believe that sometimes God allows some things to happen to people so we can know who our true friends are.
“If you have or know any way you can help me heal faster, please do and always put me in your daily prayers.
“Thank you and I love u all,” he added.
He, however, did not reveal the kind of accident he was involved in.
But days after sharing the message, the 40-year-old actor has lashed out at some of his so-called friends in the Nigerian movie industry, accusing them of not being there for him when he expected their presence the most, saying they were not true friends in his time of need.
He wrote: “This past few days has been the toughest time of my life, some friendship started while some ended in this few days.
“Sometimes God allows things to happen to good people just to show u who your REAL friends are.
“It’s so ironic how those ‘friends’ close to u never cared when u down, those close friends of mine I talk to everyday even on the phone never showed any care or affection towards my situation.
“I can’t even count the number of DM’s and calls I got from people I don’t even know or talk to just to check up on me and no how they can help.
“Celebrities are also humans forget what u see on TV, they feel pain and they also try to reach out to people, most people that have met me or talked with me can bear me witness that I’m not one of those celebs that are rude, proud and acts like a god.
“It’s so sad when I tried to reach out to most people this past few days all I got was the”I DON’T CARE SIGNAL” And it has made me realized that most people I’ve got around me are just there because of the name, celebrity status and fame.
“Just want to say a big thank u to all those people that I don’t know or talked to, yet check up on me every day and even tried to help my situation.
“Please be careful of FRENEMIES….I love u all regardless,” the Anambra state born actor stated.
