No threat would force me to stop fight against insecurity in Zamfara – Gov. Matawalle

Zamfara State Governor, Hon. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has vowed that no intimidation from the opposition party would deter him from ending the insecurity situation in the state.

According to a statement by his Director, General Press Affairs, Comrade Yusuf Idris Gusau, the recent comment by former Governor Abdulaziz Yari that the government led by Hon. Matawalle has not done anything to redeem the insecurity situation in the state was unfortunate.

According to him, the APC government led by Yari did not have the technical no how to pursue security of the state, saying that because the present administration was trying to end the insecurity situation in the state, which he said that Abdulaziz Yari was not happy about the present situation of security in the state

“We cannot fold our hands and watch terror attacks and kidnappings envelop the once most peaceful state in the whole federation,” he stressed.

“PDP didn’t come to accuse anybody but to correct the wrongs that have been done by the APC leadership in the state,” he stressed.

Continuing, the governor noted that he was not even ready to answer any criticisms because of political differences, saying that he wanted to concentrate on pulling the state which was in total penury to an Eldorado within the next four years of his governance.

Speaking further, the governor said that no intimidation from any where can stop him from achieving his aims and objections within the next four years.

He, however, called on his critics to forget the party differences and identify the solution to the problems to pull the state out of the present calamities both economic and political challenges.

“Fabricating stories about destroying APC Secretariat in the state cannot help issues because we all are from Zamfara state as one political entity and therefore there is no need for political segregation if the aim and objective of the whole politicians were to develop the rural state.”
