The acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has explained why he dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing newsmen at the Jalingo airport on Thursday, Sheriff explained that one of the reasons he left the APC was because the party was not in line with his political beliefs and ideology.
He was flanked at the airport by Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba, Senate deputy minority leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi and Hon Victor Bala Kona.
Sheriff said though, he had contributed immensely to the growth of APC, he had no regrets joining the APC.
He maintained that the party would return to power at the federal level in 2019.
