Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, has reacted to the current controversy between the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu and the Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Maikanti Baru.
Kachiku, had in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, accused the NNPC’s GMD of gross insubordination and humiliation among others.
The Minister had also expressed disappointment at the fact that he had no express access to the president.
Reacting to the Minister’s letter, the Publicity Secretary of the organization, Yinka Odumakin said if the claims were true, the letter had shown that the “architecture of corruption is intact” despite the ongoing fight against corrupt by the Buhari’s administration.
“The allegations in Kachikwu’s letters, if they are true, confirms our position that the architecture of corruption is intact in spite of our anti-corruption crusade. This scandal reveals the whole truth,” Odumakin told Vanguard.
