NNL 2016: Mighty Jets FC recruits 10 players, targets promotion to NPFL


Ahead of the forthcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Mighty Jets Football Club of Jos has announced the signing of former Golden Eaglets midfielder, Nura Nakargo and nine other players to boost their chances of getting promotion to the NPFL.

Nakargo represented Nigeria at the Africa U-17 Championship in the Gambia in 2005 and also played briefly with the Flying Eagles under Ladan Bosso in 2008.

The Club made the disclosure in a press statement signed by its Media Officer, Mbum Ferdinand, made available to journalists in Jos onThursday.

It reads, “The management recruited Nagarko, alongside nine other experienced players to aid its priority, which is to gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League at the end of this year.

”Nakargo, who has played for such great sides as Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Akwa Utd of Uyo is joined by big, strong and dependable former Plateau Utd Centre back, Dimka Monaya as well as Winger, Eric Grammy.”

Others are former FC Taraba and JUTH FC forward Abdulrasheed Hamza as well as former JUTH FC, Plateau Utd and Elkanemi Warriors Winger, Kabiru Abdulahi.

Also on the list are Yusheu Garba, Suleiman Abdulahi, Sunday Adeyi and Eric Isaac.

The statement added that, ” The Management have confidence in the abilities of the new signings to deliver and would give the Coach Baldwin Bazuaye-led Technical Crew every level of support to help them achieve the Club’s set goals.

Mighty Jets FC are drawn in Pool A1 of the Nigeria National League (NNL) ahead of the upcoming season and play their first league match away from home on Saturday, May 7th, 2016, against Sokoto United in Sokoto.
