1. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has released his pay slips for the past six months. This is in reaction to the challenge by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, that members of the National Assembly should make public their remuneration, the The pay slips which covered Dogara’s salary between the months of October 2016 to March 2017 was released by his spokesperson, Turaki Hassan, on Tuesday. It revealed that the Speaker earns about N300,000 after tax deductions.

2. Report says a whistleblower has led operatives of the EFCC to the discover yet another staggering sum of N4 Billion suspected to be proceeds of crime. EFCC in a statement said the owner of the funds revealed that the money belongs to a former deputy governorship candidate in Niger State.

3. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday apologized to Colonel Nicholas Ashinze, Military Assistant to former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) over what has been termed media trail. The commission, however, claimed that the error in figure of the sum it quoted was a mix-up in the body of the release as the headline reflected the correct information. It also apologised for referring to the officer as retired even when he is still serving.

4. American trained journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, was on Tuesday granted bail in the sum of N1 million by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The Journalist had been remanded in Port Harcourt prison over alleged defamatory report against Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministry.

5. The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State has announced that the sale of​ ​application forms for admission into the 5th Regular Course of its degree programme commenced on ​Monday, 13th​ ​March, 2017​. The closing date for the sale is ​Saturday, 17th June, 2017.

6. Former National Publicity Secretary of the All progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank, has boasted that he was better than the National Chairman of the party, John Oyegun. Frank said if given the opportunity, he will do a better job of leading the party. This was contained in a statement he personally signed, castigating the inability of the APC National Working Committee, NWC, to fix a date for a convention.

7. Senator Kabiru Gaya led ad-hoc Committee report on Southern Kaduna Crisis was Tuesday rejected by the red Chambers due to lack of detailed investigation by the panel. The panel which was set up in January 2017 by the Senate with a view to finding lasting solutions to the Southern Kaduna killings was met with controversy in the course of the debate, particularly an aspect that indicted the security agencies.

8. Despite the Central Bank of Nigeria’s attempt to improve dollar supply and prop up the local unit, the Naira on Tuesday weakened to 410 per dollar against the United States. The dollar had earlier sold for 405 Naira on Monday.

9. Winner of the 2017 edition of Big Brother Naija, Efe, Tuesday claimed his N25m and the accompanied SUV. He, however, revealed to the media that the first thing he would do was to go for thanksgiving.

10. Former President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday dismissed reports that he received the sum of $200m as kick-back from the Malabu oil deal. Jonathan made the denial while responding to report by an American news website, Buzzfeed, which claimed he got the said amount from the sale of the controversial OPL 245 oil block. In a statement by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, the former President maintained that the Malabu oil deal was struck before his administration.
