1. The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and United Labour Congress (ULC) have suspended the planned nationwide strike.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, who announced the development, explained that the decision was reached after agreements and documents were signed.
2. Gunmen have kidnapped a former Auchi branch Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, A. O. Itemuagbor.
Itemuagbor was on his way to Auchi from Benin, after Sunday’s convention of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, when he was ambushed around Ehor in Uhunmwode Local Government Area.
3. The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, now known as Cambridge Assessment, has said it can only release the certificate of President Muhammadu Buhari if he so requests.
Cambridge, a United Kingdom-based examination body, which oversaw the conduct of final year secondary school examination in Nigeria and placement into foreign universities in the early days of colonialism and years after, said this on Monday in a statement on its website.
4. President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to criticisms from the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP over his WAEC certificate.

5. The Minority leader, and member Kano State House of Assembly representing Kura/Garun Malam constituency, Alhaji Abdullahi Muhammad-Chiromawa has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to Peoples Redemption Party, PRP.
Chiromawa announced his defection while briefing newsmen on Monday in Kano.
6. Some protesters in Iran have threatened to overthrow the government of President Muhammadfu Buhari in order to secure the release of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).
In a trending video, the Iranians with different placards chanted “Free free Zakzaky,” criticised the Buhari government over the continued detention of the leader.
7. A leading cleric of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Abdullahi Zango, has said that more members of the sect have died at various health facilities as a result of injuries sustained during the recent clashes with the army.
He said this on Monday while briefing journalists in Abuja on the aftermath of last week’s clampdown on members of the sect during the annual Arbaeen trek.
8. A Kano High Court sitting in Kano has ordered the Kano State House of Assembly to stop the investigation of bribery allegation leveled against Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje that he collected $5 million bribe from contractors.
The presiding Judge, Justice A.T. Badamasi issued an Interim Injunction, restraining the House of Assembly’s Seven-man Investigative Committee from further investigation of the said bribery allegation.
9. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday re-arraigned former Oyo State Governor, Rashidi Ladoja over alleged N4.7 billion fraud.
Ladoja was charged for allegedly converting N4.7 billion from the state treasury to his personal use.
10. A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Professor Jerry Gana, has asked the FCT High Court in Maitama, to disqualify Donald Duke as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections.
Gana asked the court to nullify the emergence of the former Cross River State governor, on the grounds that the process that produced him violated the constitution of the party.
