1. Seven persons have been confirmed dead following a deadly bank robbery that took place in Ondo State on Monday.

The robbery, which lasted for over an hour on Monday afternoon, occurred at Isewa Quarters, Ido-Ani, headquarters of Ose Local Government Area of the state.

2. The seven-man panel of the Supreme Court has struck out the appeal filed by Senator Magnus Abe, seeking the leave of the court to amend his notice of appeal on the Rivers State Governorship primaries

The court unanimously agreed that Abe’s appeal was filed out of time and lacked merit, therefore, remained dismissed and struck out.

3. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has said its Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has degraded an Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) Terrorists’ hideout in Northern Borno.

NAF’s spokesman, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja, said the ATF also neutralised some of the ISWAP fighters at Tumbun Zarami in the Northern part of Borno.

4. Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has announced the sack of all his aides and other political appointees.

A press release by the permanent secretary of the Abia government house, Elder Bernard Ogbonna, said the sack was necessary to pave way for the formation of a new team that will work with the governor upon his inauguration for a second term in office.

5. Alhaji Abubakar Bwari, Nigeria’s Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, has urged mining investors in Zamfara State to obey Federal Government’s directive to vacate mining sites in the state.

Bwari gave the advice on Monday while speaking on the sideline of the groundbreaking ceremony of AG Vision Mining site in Suleja, Niger State, described the suspension as a necessary step towards curbing banditry in the state’

6. The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has ordered the immediate suspension of work at the Abuja National Housing project in Gwagwalada, FCT. He said the suspension became necessary in order to settle any development control issues with the ministry and FCDA through due process.

7. An inferno on Monday affected some parts of the terminal building of the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri in Imo.

Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, who confirmed the incident in a statement in Lagos, said the fire started at about 2.00p.m but was however, curtailed swiftly by officers of the Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services Department of FAAN.

8. A major landslide has destroyed 10 houses in Odi community, Kolokuma-Opokuma Area Council of Bayelsa, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Report had it on Monday, that the incident which occurred near the bank of the River Nun, on Sunday, caused panic in the community.

9. The Kaduna State Government has lifted the dusk to dawn curfew in Maraban Rido and Kujama communities areas of the state with immediate effect.

In a statement by Senior Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Publicity, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, on Monday evening said, residents of these communities were now free to go about their lawful businesses at all hours of the day.

10. No fewer than eight persons, including a three-year-old child and a wife of a police officer, were yesterday burnt to death in a renewed communal crisis in Ebonyi State.

The victims were said to be returning from matriculation ceremony that took place at the Ebonyi State University, and stumbled into some unknown hoodlums who were shooting sporadically.
