1. National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced plans to sue the management of Daar Communications Limited, owners of the Africa Independent Television, AIT, for a questionable documentary it aired on Sunday. Asiwaju Tinubu’s counsel, Mr. Tunji Abayomi, said a letter requesting Daar Communications to apologise and stop further airing has been submitted to the media house.
2. Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has further taken on the APC and its national leader, tagging them evil people who should. Be questioned regarding the murder of Funso Williams who was a political rival of Bola Tinubu.
3. In a series of tweets that went out of his twitter handle on Monday, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, claimed that the ongoing fuel scarcity in the country was being engineered by leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC to further taint President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the March elections.
4. The lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District at the Senate, Babajide Omoworare, has said President Goodluck Jonathan would be shown an exit door in the March elections even with his effort to purchase all Nigerians to his side.
5. All corps members who were given awards in the 2012, 2013 and 2014 batches of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are yet to be employed will get automatic employment. This was announced by President Jonathan on Monday.
6. The All Progressives Congress Campaign Organisation (APCCO) has said that some of the new policies of the Jonathan’s government were targeted at shielding him from what appears like a General Muhammadu Buhari in March, alleging that most of his policies are coming little too late.
7. A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has said that Nigeria is currently in the middle of serious war must not make the mistake of changing its leadership.
8. As fuel scarcity continues across the country, report says the situation cannot be resolved this week, as the current shortage may remain like this till next week.
9. Report says that the INEC, Chairman, Jega will be meeting with some Resident Electoral commissioners on Wednesday to assess the collection of PVC so far, however there is a suspicion that some government apologists of REC may pass a vote of no confidence on the INEC Chairman.
10. An Abuja Federal High Court on Monday threw out an application objecting to the use of card reader in the coming elections by INEC. Ruling on the case was made by Justice Adeniyi Ademola on Monday.
