1. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said that it disbursed 25,042,686 litres of petrol to 11 depots in two days. The corporation ,however, expressed surprise that there is still fuel scarcity despite the disbursement.
2. The Edo State chapter of the PDP has accused the State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole of siphoning state’s money in the name of security. State Chairman of the party, Chief Dan Orbih, was speaking in Benin, the state capital during a press briefing on Oshiomhole’s seven years in office.
3. Report has it that the Federal Government may have started the process of fulfilling its promise to pay N5,000 monthly allowance to the nation’s unemployed youths. Report, however, claimed that the payment will commence in 2016.
4. The Nigerian Army, on Monday cautioned all pro-Biafra groups agitating for self-determination, saying that the army was ready to invoke its rules of engagement in order to protect Nigeria’s Constitution. The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 82 Division, Hamza Gambo, during a press briefing on behalf of the GOC, warned the various groups to stop further unlawful conduct.
5. A Federal High Court presided over by Justice Adeniyi Ademola in Abuja on Monday adjourned the case of Col. Sambo Dasuki, rtd, till November 23. Ademola, adjourned the case following an oral application from the Solicitor-General of the Federation, Mr Taiwo Abidogun.
6. The Super Eagles have been promised $20,000 reward for every goal scored against Swaziland in today’s World Cup qualifier. This promise was made by the Rivers State government in order to motivate the Eagles in the match that will be played in Port Harcourt.
7. Leader of the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, yesterday, said he will ensure that his dream of a sovereign State of Biafra is realized, boasting that he will not give up his struggle.
8. Pro-Biafran group, on Monday stormed Abia State capital and the home-town of Nnamdi Kanu, Umuahia, marching through major streets of the city, but under the watch of security agencies. The group were demanding for the immediate release of Kanu among other things.
9. The burial rights of late HID Awolowo started yesterday in Oyo State. The commendation service was held at the Methodist Church, Agbeni, Ibadan. Those in attendance include the Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, Oyo state Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, and others.
10. A cult clash at the Ikeja area of Lagos, on Monday left one Sodiq Adeyemi dead. Report says another young man whose identity could not be ascertained was also injured and was rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
