1. Six Catholic nuns were Thursday night kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Agbor town, Ika South Council Area.

It was gathered that the nuns were traveling in a commercial bus when gunmen attacked their vehicle at Railway junction, near Emuhu village.

2. Gunmen dressed in military uniform have attacked communities in Abbare, Lau Local Government area of Taraba State and killed no fewer than 100 cows.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr David Misal, who confirmed the attack, said the command had since deployed more policemen to the area.

3. The Nigerian Army has discovered a shallow grave in its search for the immediate past Chief of Administration (Army), retired Major General Idris Alkali.

General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Major General Benson Akinroluyo, who disclosed this at a press briefing on Friday in Plateau State, said Major General Alkali was killed and buried in a shallow grave, in an area popularly known as “No man’s land” in Lafande community, on the outskirt of Jos metropolis.

4. The Plateau State Police Command has said that Da Yakubu Rap, one of the persons declared wanted for their alleged involvement in the killing of the Major General IM Alkali, (retired) has surrendered himself to the command.

Matthias Tyopev Terna, the Plateau commands’ spokesman, said that one of the persons has turned himself in to the police.

5. Suspected herdsmen have reportedly hacked to death a 30-year-old farmer, Shiaondo Goom and two others in their farms at Tse Goom Yogbo and Angela community in Guma local government area of Benue State.

It was gathered that the victims, who were killed in the last 48 hours, only recently returned to their ancestral home from some of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camps after period of reprieve from the spate of killings in the state.

6. Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose will on Monday be released from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody.

His media aide, Lere Olayinka on Friday, said the ex-governor has filed and verified all necessary documents for his bail.

7. Less than 24 hours after KDSG reduced curfew imposed in the state since Sunday last week, the Kaduna State Government has again, reinstated a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna metropolis and environs, Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru, Kateri and Kachia.

In a statement issued and signed by Seniir Special Assistant to Governor El-rufai on Media and Publicity, Mr. Samuel Aruwan said the curfew is effective from 11am today, Friday, 26th October 2018 and will remain in force until further notice

8. The kidnapped Paramount ruler of Adara Chiefdom, Agwom Adara, His Royal Highness, Maiwada Raphael Galadima was killed by his abductors.

His lifeless body was found in a village close to Kaduna town.

9. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Friday distanced its self from claims of cash transfer to President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation.

NNPC said that its Group Managing Director, Dr Maikanti Baru never transferred any money to the organisation with the sole aim of funding Buhari’s re-election bid.

10. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Friday challenged President Muhammadu Buhari to “show proof of his vaunted integrity by presenting his academic documents, if he has any, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)” and put to an end his certificate saga.

PDP gave the challenge while admonishing Buhari to fulfill his obligation like other Presidential candidates, “instead of bugging the commission with affidavits.”
