1. Photos of the Ondo State House of Assembly Paymaster who was on Friday caught with a ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bag loaded with money‎ has now gone viral in the social media. The money which has created tension among members of the State House of Assembly, is reportedly about N15m.

2. New images of President Muhammadu Buhari on vacation in London has emerged. In the the photos, the President was seen with some guests, among them was Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun. This is to apparently prove that the president is well and alive.

3. Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has revealed the day his boss will return to the country. Reiterating that the President is hale and hearty, Adesina said his principal was expected back in the country on February 6th.

4. The Plateau State House of Assembly has alleged that there was an ongoing secret employment in the state’s Civil Service. The Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, raised the allegation in Jos, when the Head of Service, Mr Izam Azi, led senior officers to defend the 2017 budget of his office before the House Committee on Appropriation.

5. Fourteen of the twenty-six Ondo State House of Assembly lawmakers on Friday evening sacked their speaker, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele over alleged N15million naira fraud. Principal officers, including the Deputy speaker, majority leader and a host others were also sent packing by the legislators. The aggrieved lawmakers have also appointed an acting Speaker, Mr. Malachi Coker, from Ilaje constituency II, while Hon. Ayodele Arowole from Owo state constituency I was picked as his deputy.

6. The Defence Headquarters (DHQ), on Friday alerted Nigerians to a new tactic being adopted by female suicide bombers in the North East, saying bombers are now evading detection from security operatives by carrying babies on their back to create the impression that they are innocent nursing mothers. Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, Acting Director Defence Information, disclosed this in a statement.

7. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Friday urged acting President, Yemi Osinbajo to rise and defend the plight of Christians in Nigeria, saying that the silence of the Vice President was no longer golden. This was contained in a statement by Bayo Oladeji, Special Assistant on Media to the CAN President, Rev Dr Samson Olasupo Ayokunle.

8. Supreme Court on Friday granted leave to Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, to be joined as an interested party to challenge the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as governor of Abia state. Justice Clara Ogunbiyi led four other justices to arrive at the unanimous decision.

9. A militant group known as the Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, has warned the Federal Government to sack the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, or it will make the region ungovernable. NDRC gave the call in a statement issued by its spokesperson, WOI Izon-Ebi, on Friday. It also lso demanded the probe of the NDDC board from the tenure of Godsday Orubebe till date.

10. Founder of Innoson Manufacturing Company, Innocent Chuwkuma, has denied ever planning to join music star, Tuface Idibia for a protest against the current government, because his company has stopped 80% of production due to high cost of materials. According to Innoson boss, the company was never shut down and there had never been any partial production from his company. He also denied his company issued a statement on the alleged shutdown and partial production.
