1. Today is Christmas. Christians in Nigeria will join other faithful across the world to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

2. President Muhammadu Buhari, his vice, Prof Yemi Osinajo and other prominent Nigerians have called on Nigerians to use the period to extend love to the less privileged in the society. 3. The Presidency has reacted to the accusation that President Muhammadu Buhari was behind the removal of Umar Haruna Doguwa as Chairman of the Kano State All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to Garba Shehu, Buhari ‘s media aide, at no time did the president involve himself in the internal conflict of any APC chapter in the country and would never do so.

4. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has said that long queues at petrol stations in Lagos and Ogun states will soon disappear. According to IPMAN, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has flooded the Ejigbo depot with Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol.

5. Men of the Police Command in Enugu State have declared members of the “Malaysian Boys’’ gang wanted for alleged criminal activities.

Amaraizu said that the command had issued a warrant of arrest for all the members of “Malaysian Boys’’ gang.

6. Nigerian government has told Nigerians to report filling stations selling above N145 per litre to Department of petroleum resources DPR.

The government on Sunday provided help lines on which Nigerians can share their complaints.

7. President Muhammadu Buhari has broken silence on the biting fuel scarcity. The President said the situation is regrettable.

Buhari on his Twitter handle, @MBuhari, sympathised with Nigerians on having to endure what he described as needless fuel queues.

8. Boko Haram ex-Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO) Abdulkadir Abubakar, has warned the leader of the group, Abubakar Shekau to stop using innocent girls who are being hypnotized as bombers.

Abubakar, also known as Abu Muhammad, also warned other factional leaders of the group like Mamman Nur, Abbor Mainok, Abu Musad Albarnawi and Abbah Minok to repent from their deadly ways and embrace peace.

9. Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Sunday said it has intensified its air operations in Northeastern Nigeria.

It disclosed that its personnel, during the week, neutralized scores of Boko Haram terrorists in TUMBUN RAGO, a settlement at the northern fringes of Borno State bordering Lake Chad.

10. ​Nigerian government has identified those behind the current fuel scarcity​.​

​Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr Garba Abari,​ said​ the ​situation was caused by ​oil ​marketers​.
