1. A 2-storey building collapsed in Lagos on Sunday.

Eleven persons were rescued alive and taken to Merit Hospital for treatment from the site of the collapsed building located at No. 1, community road, off old Otta road in Alagbado.

2. Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has deployed additional air assets, including Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, to the Northeast in a renewed effort at locating the missing Dapchi girls.

3. The Nigerian Army has postponed date of its 77 Regular Recruit Intake exercise.

4. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has kicked against the composition of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) committee set up to investigate the existence of underage voters in some states.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan on Sunday, said the committee lacked credibility.

5. The factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Okwudili Ezenachukwu, on Sunday demanded unconditional release of all the detained members of the group languishing in different facilities across the country.

Okwudili also announced that he was offering himself to be detained in exchange for his members.

6. Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has advised his predecessor, Rabiu Kwankwaso to leave the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ganduje said Kwankwaso was free to leave APC and back any candidate against him to prove his popularity in Kano.

7. Operation Delta Safe, ODS, formerly code named Joint Task Force, JTF, has intensified its war against oil theft with the destruction of over 30 illegal refineries in Yeye community, Burutu Local Government Area Delta State.

The security body said it will not rest until the illicit act was flushed out of the state, stressing that they will continue to hunt for the thieves.

8. Tragedy struck on Saturday on Ntueke Street, Awada Obosi, in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, as a 47-year-old man, Stephen Nnadiogo, killed his four children, his sister in-law and took his own life.

The four children were aged between two and 10, while the housemaid, Ogechi, was said to be 18-year-old. All the victims hailed from Isu Njaba, Imo State.

9. No fewer than 48 inmates of Lapai, Agaie, Bida, Kontagora, Kagara and New Bussa prisons in Niger State were granted pardon by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Maria Dzukogi, during her annual visit to the prisons.

The CJ granted pardon to 16 inmates, who were held in the Kontagora and Kagara prisons respectively, on the grounds of good conduct and ill health.

10. Pep Guardiola has won his first silverware in English football, after his Manchester City side outclassed Arsenal 3-0, in the final of the Carabao Cup on Sunday evening.

Sergio Aguero gave them the lead against the Gunners, while Vincent Kompany and David Silva scored in the second half, to seal a comprehensive win for City.
