1. The death has been announced of Chief Tony Anenih, a former minister of Works and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Anenih died on Sunday evening at Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja, where he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.

2. Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Sunday insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead, adding that the Nigerian leader has already been buried in Saudi Arabia.

Kanu, who recently surfaced in Israel and has been vocal lately. He lambasted those against Biafra in a new audio released on Sunday.

3. Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, DIGC, has called on the international community and the United Nations for quick intervention on the ongoing killings in Kaduna State.

Dr. Enenche, who spoke on Sunday during a service, maintained that there was a satanic agenda to wipe out Christianity from the face of the country.

4. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has called on the Federal Government to tighten its seat belt as yuletide approaches.

The organization alerted the government to the annual phenomenon of artificial fuel scarcity which usually reared its ugly head at the end of the year.

5. The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has lambasted former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, has said their new alliance against President Muhammadu Buhari will fall before the 2019 general election.

6. The Nigerian Army on Sunday stated that some members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), better known as Shiites, on Saturday attacked troops of the Army Headquarters Garrison on official duty escorting ammunitions and missiles from Abuja to Army Central Ammunition Depot in Kaduna State. The attack occurred at Zuba Bridge, of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at about 3pm.

A statement from the Commander Army Headquarters Garrison, Major-General, James Myam said members of the sect, who were supposedly in a procession, established an illegal road block denying motorists free passage.

7. The Kaduna State Government has relaxed the curfew in Kaduna metropolis and environs effective from today, Monday.

Samuel Aruwan, spokesman to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, in a statement, explained that from today, Monday, October 29 2018, the curfew would be relaxed from 6am to 5pm, daily.

8. The Presidency has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for insisting that President Muhammadu Buhari should present his West African Examinations Council, WAEC, certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as a prerequisite to participate in the 2019 presidential election.

Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said the PDP and those making a fuss of the situation are idle.

9. A passenger plane carrying 188 people has crashed into the sea off Jakarta.

Flight JT610 lost contact with the ground 13 minutes after take-off, The Guardian report.

10. Leicester City owner and Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has been confirmed among the dead in Saturday night’s helicopter crash tragedy at the King Power Stadium.

The Premier League club on Sunday officially confirmed that five people died when the helicopter lost control during take-off.
