1. The leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has facilitated with Christians all over the country and the world on the occasion of the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, also known as Christmas.
Dr. Samson Olasupo A. Ayokunle, through his Special Assistant, Media and Communications, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, called on Nigerians to remember those who do not have food, clothing and other material needs and give them something out of the little or much we have.
2. Former All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant, Chief Charles Udeogaranya, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Chief Udeogaranya, at the defection rally organised yesterday in Lagos, said he secured the mandate of his supporters to make the move ahead of the 2019 general elections.
3. A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Timi Frank, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should resign if he is not comfortable with democratic form of government and criticisms.
This was as he accused the current Buhari-led government of being intolerant to any form of criticism, adding that such act signalled the return to dictatorship.
4. The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has described the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomole as a failure.
The Governor challenged the former Labour leader to publish his achievements for the duration he was governor of Edo State.
5. A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and one-time National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr Venatius Ikem, has defected back to the party.
Addressing a mammoth crowd who came out to receive him at the Obudu council headquarters, Ikem, who returned with about 3,000 APC supporters including others from the Social Democratic Party, SDP, said his former party was dead in the state.
6. The Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, has said the South East can only produce Nigeria’s next President if they vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
The former Senate Leader warned that other presidential candidates can’t guarantee an Igbo Presidency in the near future.
7. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organization, PPCO, on Sunday advised the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo to “wake up from his pipe dream of becoming the President of Nigeria in 2023, as President Muhammadu Buhari, who he is anchoring on, will be voted out of office in February 2019.”
PPCO insisted that Osinbajo can’t deceive people of the South West into voting for Buhari in 2019 with the claim that a vote for the APC may lead to South West producing president in 2023.
8. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has rubbished the 2019 budget President Muhammadu Buhari presented at the National Assembly last week.
Abubakar said the 2019 budget presented by Buhari was “fundamentally flawed,” adding that the budget was built on a “shaky foundation.
9. The campaign office of Barr. Tab Ogara, factional guber candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State, was on Sunday morning gutted by inferno.
The fire, which burnt down two branded vehicles, were said to have emanated from an explosion.
10. The Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, has disclosed that the immediate past administration left 116 ongoing and abandoned irrigation and water projects.
Adamu also disclosed that the past administration left liabilities of N89 billion.
