1. A former Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. David Akpode Ejoor is dead, DAILY POST has learnt.
His nephew, Shagari Francis Ejoor, who confirmed the report, stressed that the former Governor of the defunct Mid Western State died after battling with a protracted ailment in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos State.
2. The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State has been engulfed by fire less than one week to the 2019 presidential election.
Plateau State INEC Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, Osaretin Imahiyereobo, who confirmed the incident, said the incident was caused by a drunken security man.
3. The Spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kaduna State, Ben Bako, has been arrested by men of the Department of State Services, DSS.
He was arrested on Saturday night by the operatives of the secret Police, according to the Deputy Director of Campaign Council, Danjuma Sarki.
4. No fewer than twelve persons were reported to have slumped at the presidential rally by Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar in Kano State, North-West Nigeria, on Sunday

5. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has promised to give priority attention to agriculture and Commerce if elected President.
Atiku, who made the promise while addressing party supporters at the rally held at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kofar Mata in Kano on Sunday, said if given the mandate in forthcoming general elections, he would do everything possible to ensure that the agricultural sector was accorded the necessary support to boost food production.
6. Rebecca Sharibu, mother of Leah Sharibu, has reacted to the rumoured death of the Dapchi schoolgirl.
Rebecca is calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to fulfil his promise to her by releasing her daughter.
7. The Nigerian government has reacted to report making the rounds on social media that Leah Sharibu, one of the abducted Dapchi school girls was dead.
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, at a press conference on Sunday in Ilorin, Kwara State, described the report as ‘absolute fake news’.
8. The suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Walter Onnoghen, has disclosed how he made some of the huge money not declared in his assets declaration form.
Onnoghen disclosed that he made his money during his days of private practice between 1979 to 1989.
9. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has provided proof of presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, being born in Cameroon.
In a radio broadcast from London, the United Kingdom on Sunday night, Kanu clarified his comments insisting that Atiku was originally from Cameroon but a product of 1961 referendum.
10. The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II, has advised Nigerians to refrain from negative acts and vote peacefully during the forthcoming general elections.
Sanusi gave the advice when the People Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential flag bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Kano on Sunday.
