Good morning! Here are 10 things you need to know this morning:

1. Following his detention for nearly one week in the EFCC custody, former Interior Minister, Abba Moro and four others will today appear before Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court Abuja to defend the charges of abuse of procurement process and diversion of public funds preferred against them.

2. Following the killings of over 300 Agatu people in Benue State by Fulani herdsmen, Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has described as worrisome, the silence of President Mohammadu Buhari, saying that such silence was a clear invitation to chaos and anarchy.

3. Report says the Senate will this week issue a warrant of arrest to the IG of police, Solomon Arase to arrest former EFCC boss, Ibrahim Larmode for failing to appear before the Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions over diversion of the Commission’s fund while in office.

4. The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State during the 2015 elections, Dakuku Peterside has blamed the high level of insecurity and violence in Rivers State on Governor Nyesom Wike’s ineptitude. Dakuku also accused the government of showing no commitment on how to end the alarming rate of militancy and cult-related activities in the state.

5. President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday said that Boko Haram insurgents was no longer a threat to his government’s development programmes as the group has to a large extent be decimated. Buhari made this statement while speaking at a bilateral meeting he had with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hammad Al-Thani.

6. Report has it that medical Doctors in the South West Zone of the country have disclosed their intention to embark on a solidarity strike, if the Osun State Government failed to address the plight of their colleagues within two weeks. Dr Adenike Odewabi, Chairman of the South West caucus of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), said this at a press conference in Abeokuta.

7. Detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has reportedly said that he would rather die in jail than for the Ohanaeze Ndigbo to claim the glory of his release as he has no business with the Igbo Socio cultural organization. Kanu and his group were merely reacting to report that Ohanaeze Ndigbo and their youth wing were impersonating IPOB leaders in Enugu, claiming to be representing the group in a meeting with some American officials who were in Nigeria to have a meeting with the group on the release of their leader.

8. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has fined MTN Nigeria and Globacom Ltd (Glo) a total of N34 million for breach of Mobile Number Portability (MNP) business rules and regulations. This was made known by the regulatory body in its 2015 Q4 Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Reports.

9. Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has said he is prepared to meet the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in court, over an alleged breach of contract. Olise said by such allegation, NFF was heading to expose itself to the world.

10. The House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation has officially closed the collation of reports on the 2016 budget from Standing Committees. This is contained in a statement issued by Rep. Abdulmumini Jibrin (APC-Kano) Chairman, Committee on Appropriation and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.
