Nigerian Customer Service Awards to hold October 8 in Lagos


The organizers of the Nigeria Customer Service Awards have announced the date for the 2015 edition of the awards.

In a press statement issued on Monday, July 13, 2015, the CEO of Customer Service Awards, Dr. Aliyu Ilias said the 2015 edition has now been fixed for October 8 at Four Points hotel in Victoria Island Lagos.

According to the statement, the awards aimed at celebrating excellent customer service delivery in Nigeria, by recognizing companies that deliver exceptional customer services; and in effect, raise the standards of customer services nationwide. It said the awards will also encourage companies to go beyond paying lip services to customers.

Speaking on the procedures to emerge winner, the organizers said, ‘’winners will be determined through nomination from the general public, feed backs from customers on evaluation of their relationships with the management and the staff of the organization, and mystery shopping by the Nigerian mystery shoppers’ provider.

The statement further encouraged the general public to visit the organizer’s website at www.nigeriacustomerserviceawards to nominate companies that offer good customer service.

It would be recalled that companies like Etisalat, Access Bank, Kia Motors, Intercontinental Hotel, konga, NNPC retail, and Phase3 telecom, Interior Wood Work, DHL and Heritage Bank were all winners at the 2014 edition.

The statement further disclosed that the, ‘’NCSA shall unveil six Customer Service Ambassadors (CSA) from the six geopolitical zones. Their responsibility shall be to seek compensation for the Nigerian customers, who experience bad service and also identify with companies with excellent customer service in Nigeria. The ambassadors shall promote and canvass for excellent customer service in their zone.’’

It said the Ambassadors will reign for the period of one.

The organizers further announced that participants will go through two stages of examinations – both in theory and practical, affirming that the winner will smile home with a brand new car.
