Head coach of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr, Wednesday afternoon disclosed that he is still waiting for clearance from the team’s doctor to start Oghenekaro Etebo and Jamilu Collins against Tunisia in tonight’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, third-place fixture.
Nigeria will on Wednesday night tackle the Carthage Eagles at the Al-Salam Cairo Stadium.
The Super Eagles head to the game after losing 2-1 to Algeria in the semi-final encounter on Sunday, while Tunisia was defeated 1-0 by Senegal.
But Rohr has disclosed that Etebo and Collins could only walk this morning after sustaining minor injuries.
“This morning Collins and Etebo could only walk because of small injuries.
“But we are waiting for the team Doctor to give them the go-ahead to play. Although it is just minor knocks,” Rohr told SportingLife.
The kick-off time for the match is 8pm.
