Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has provided update on injury worries in his team.

Rohr told post-match press conference after Super Eagles’ win over Cameroon that his captain, John Obi Mikel was recovering gradually ahead of the quarter-final clash against South Africa.

He also said that left-back, Collins is back for the game.

“We hope that Shehu can come back, he was already on the bench today. We lost two players in the last training session before the match against Burundi, Shehu and Kalu, so it was not easy.

”Obi Mikel is trying to run already so we will see,” he said.

“Four days is a short time. We recovered already Collins to give us a solution on the left-back position.

”Obi Mikel; we will try the best, I have a wonderful medical staff and I think we can do something.”

Nigeria defeated Cameroon 3-2 in the round of 16 while South Africa shocked the host nation to book their place in the quarter-final.
