Liverpool legend, Don Hutchison, has heaped praises on Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze following his outstanding display in Nigeria’s 2-1 win over South Africa at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, quarter-final on Wednesday.
Samuel Chukwueze, who won the Man of the Match award of the encounter, gave Gernot Rohr’s men a 1-0 lead before the break thanks to an assist from Alex Iwobi.
However, South Africa levelled in the second half, courtesy of a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decision.
With the match looking to head into extra time, William Troost-Ekong forced the ball over the line in the final minute of play at the Cairo International Stadium.
Reacting to Chukwueze’s performance against the Bafana Bafana, Hutchiso stated that the Villarreal youngster is destined for the top, adding that he has told a lot of scouts and coaches about the 20-year-old.
“What a player mate. English clubs won’t have the balls to go for him (Chukwueze). I’ve told loads of scouts/coaches Etc about him! Going right to the top,” Hutchinson wrote on Twitter.
