Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has asked his team to attack Seychelles from the blast of the referee’s whistle.
Nigeria takes on the small island nation in their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday in Asaba, Delta state.
Seychelles conceded 11 goals in their two away games in the qualifying series, five against Libya and six against South Africa.
Rohr wants his players to do better, even on a small pitch.
“I want to see the team go forward to score goals on a pitch which is not the biggest.
“We want to find find spaces tactically behind this defence of Seychelles.
“It will not be easy, they have prepared their team very well since the beginning of March in Ethiopia and they have had a long preparation,” the German told ESPN.
The group draw for AFCON 2019 will take place on April 12 in Cairo, with the tournament proper starting on June 21.
