Nigeria vs Serbia

FIRST HALF: As it happened against Poland, the ball clearly squirms under Francis Uzoho and Serbia should be 1-0 up. But the linesman fails to spot it. So it remains 0-0 with 17 minutes played.

Uzoho also dived smartly to deny Dusan Tadic in the 26th minute.

There are no goals at the interval, with Victor Moses having Nigeria’s best chance in the opening 45 minutes.

SECOND HALF: The Super Eagles are much improved in this half, with the introduction of Odion Ighalo as the focus of attack.

But it is Serbia that take the lead. Mitrovic finally gets his goal, sweeping a cross past Uzoho. 1-0.

The striker who is currently on loan at Fulham from Newcastle United, produced an identical finish with 10 minutes left to make it 2-0.
