Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has confirmed that Victor Moses and Oghenekaro Etebo, will be in charge of free-kick duties when they take on Iceland on Friday.
Nigeria have conceded in their last three matches from dead ball situations and Rohr has been working on rectifying the problem in training all week.
However, the German is not only working on not conceding from them, he is hoping to take full advantage when his team are awarded free-kicks.
“We know they (Iceland) are very good in set-pieces and we are working on it. You can work on it day and night, but you must have a good concentration and a good head (in such situations).
“We hadn’t conceded a goal from set-pieces for two years and suddenly, you are playing against teams who are stronger in this exercise.
“The important thing is for you to have good specialists for the kick. We have Victor Moses and (Ogenekaro) Etebo. Set-pieces will be much better in the next match for us,” Rohr told the media.
