Nigeria vs Iceland: Rohr considers dropping Ndidi, Abdullahi for crucial Group D game

Head coach of the Super Eagles is looking to shake up his starting XI for Friday’s crucial game against Iceland.

Nigeria were beaten 2-0 by Croatia in their first 2018 World Cup game and will go into the second match on the brink of elimination.

Rohr is aiming to go for the kill against Iceland and is considering lining up a midfield with attack-minded players.

OwnGoalNigeria reports that Tuesday’s training, saw the German try out new roles for Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi, although the latter could be dropped for Ahmed Musa.

Musa will likely start the game against Iceland, as Nigeria aim to stretch their opponents who are expected to line up in a defensive formation.

As part of the strategy to attack from the start of the game, Rohr has pencilled down Tyronne Ebuehi as the right full back for the game, with Shehu Abdullahi expected to be dropped.
