Ahmed Musa netted a stunning brace, as Nigeria beat Iceland 2-0 in their second Group D fixture at the 2018 World Cup.
The Leicester City winger was recalled to the starting XI, along with Kelechi Iheanacho and Kenneth Omeruo, as Gernot Rohr reverted to a 3-5-2 formation for the crunch encounter.
There were no goals in the first half, as the Super Eagles struggled to settle in and the Vikings failed to convert some of their early chances.
However, in the second half, Musa controlled a cross from Victor Moses and lashed in the opener.
He completed his brace few minutes later, after controlling a long pass and striding into the area to finish confidently.
The win gives Nigeria three points and takes them into second place, ahead of next week’s decider against Argentina.
