Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has confirmed that Odion Ighalo will start their second Group B fixture against Guinea on Wednesday.
Ighalo was left out of the starting XI against Burundi as Rohr opted for the presence and power of Paul Onuachu.
However, the Shanghai Shehua striker climbed off the bench to net the winner and secure all three points.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday morning, Rohr admitted he will select Ighalo against the Syli Stars.
“Ighalo is very fit now and will start the game (against Guinea),” the German said.
Rohr also hinted that Samuel Kalu, who has been passed fit by CAF’s medical team, could start.
Kalu missed the Burundi clash after he fainted in training on Friday.
“Samuel Kalu had an MRI and he is declared 100% fit and will be available for the game.
“He may start the match (against Guinea) or he may not. We will know after training today,” he added.
