Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has said he is looking beyond the 2018 World Cup in Russia and is building a team for the next edition in Qatar.
Rohr stated during the pre-match conference on Friday, ahead of tomorrow’s game against Croatia in Kaliningrad.
The German highlighted the youthfulness of the Nigerian team and says he is excited about the future.
“This team is really being readied for the 2022 World Cup because they are young.
“That is not saying we do not want to do very well here (Russia 2018) because we want to, but the bulk of the team is young and will be ready to get very far in 2022,” Rohr explained.
