Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has identified one advantage Gernot Rohr’s men have over Cameroon, ahead of both side’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, round of 16 fixture on Saturday.

The Leicester City star explained that Nigeria’s only advantage over the defending champions was that the Super Eagles have played on the Alexandria Stadium three times.

Nigeria head to the match after losing 2-0 to Madagascar while Cameroon played a goalless draw against Benin.

Speaking on Nigeria’s clash with Cameroon, Ndidi told BusyBuddies: “It can be but, I don’t think one hundred per cent.

”It’s not really an advantage because this is Egypt, so, I think the only fact is that we’ve played three times on the ground and that’s the only advantage.

”And then the size of the pitch, they might have to get to know the pitch on the game day during the game so the only advantage is the fact that we’ve played there three times.”

Nigeria have not lost to Cameroon since they were beaten 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier in August 1989.
