Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, has insisted he has “no problem” with head coach Gernot Rohr’s decision, to demote him to third choice behind Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
Uzoho made his debut under Rohr in the 4-2 win over Argentina, in a pre-World Cup friendly in November 2017.
His display earned the 20-year-old a run of games as first-choice keeper.
And although he had a solid showing at the World Cup, a blunder against Seychelles in the last game of the AFCON qualifiers in March, appeared to seal his fate.
Uzoho has since failed to add to his 13 caps, with Rohr picking Akpeyi and Ezenwa so far at the AFCON.
“No, [I’m not worried about losing my place as first choice goalkeeper].
“But as a footballer, this is the biggest event in Africa and I would like to participate
“But if I don’t get the chance to do that, I don’t think I have any problem. I’m fine with the coach’s decision,” Uzoho told busybuddiesng.com.
