Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has given reasons they beat Cameroon in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Rohr claims it is because they had two days rest and are used to the pitch.
“We wanted to avoid this kind of match by finishing top of our group.
“We had an advantage over them as we had two days extra rest and we are used to the pitch,” he told a post-match conference.
The Eagles have played all their four matches in Alexandria and only lost once – their final group fixture against Madagascar.
