Nigeria vs Cameroon: Chelsea’s Ola Aina waits on FIFA to make Super Eagles debut

FIFA is set to clear on-loan Chelsea defender, Ola Aina, to represent Nigeria.

Aina is in Gernot Rohr’s squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Cameroon next month.

The only thing left for the youngster to make his debut, is for FIFA Players Status Committee to meet over his case, as all necessary documents have been submitted to the world football governing body.

“Everything is done regarding documentation. All district FA’s in the United Kingdom have agreed to his switch even the player himself has written to all parties about the switch,” Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, told Owngoalnigeria.com

“The ball is now in the players status committee of FIFA, ‎and anytime from now they are expected to meet and since we have submitted all relevant documents there shouldn’t be any problem.

“This week is a possiblity but we are also wary that it could also happen before our second game against Cameroon. It’s as good as done from our ends and that of FIFA won’t be much of a problem.”
