The Presidency has described the VAR during Super Eagles’ game against Argentina as anti-Africa.

Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad said this in reaction to Super Eagles 2-1 loss to Argentina.

Ahmad also criticized the Super Eagles for relenting in their performance after the penalty goal scored by Victor Moses.

“When we scored, we became too comfortable as if we had assurance Argentina were not going to score, we shouldn’t have done that, but it is alright, the Super Eagles played their best, they really tried.

“See you all in #Qatar2022. And again that VAR nonsense is so anti-Africa,” Ahmaad wrote on his official Twitter page.

The Eagles have been kicked out of World Cup 2018 following the defeat.

Nigeria needed a draw or victory to progress into the next round.
