Nigeria vs Argentina: Sampaoli speaks on players’ revolt, says Super Eagles are “two-fac

Argentina coach, Jorge Sampaoli, has denied that there is a players’ revolt in their camp, ahead of Tuesday’s do-or-die game against Nigeria.

Local media have reported problems in the squad, with Sampaoli believed to be hanging on to his job, after picking only one point from their first two Group D fixtures.

Against the Super Eagles, it is either win or bust for the Argentines, but the coach was calm while facing the media on Monday.

“So many stories are going around, we don’t know which is true or lies. It’s very difficult to face adversities. My mission is to try to ensure that the people around me are in the best position to be able to compete.

“Argentina has to play with its heart. This team is absolutely determined to win that match and get to the round of 16 and tomorrow will be a starting point for us,” Sampaoli said.
