The Senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray-Bruce, and Mavin’s boss, Don Jazzy have reacted to Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Argentina.

A 2-1 loss to Argentina in the last group D game at Saint Petersburg stadium sent the team out of the tournament.

Messi had put his side ahead with a 14-minute strike.

But Victor Moses levelled up for the Eagles through a penalty kick six minutes into the second half.

However, Rojo gave the La Albiceleste their first win of the tournament with a clinical finish less than 10 minutes to the final whistle.

Reacting to the loss, Ben Bruce on Twitter said, ”Great game @NGSuperEagles. The scoreline doesn’t fluctuate the position of our hearts. We won together, we lost together. We remain proud of you guys. ”

Similarly, Don Jazzy said, ”Father Lord, once again you have shown us not to trust the predictions of pigs, cats and even octopuses. Our players played really well and I am proud of them still.

”Our country has been through a lot in recent times but we must persevere and look to the future. We are the future and it’s in our hands. My people let’s go get our PVC’s to secure the future we all deserve. ”
