The Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Mr Donald Duke has described the presidential polls conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on February 23rd 2019 as shameful.

Reacting to the declaration of President Mohammadu Buhari as the winner of the election, Mr Duke said he had earlier complained about the attitude of INEC.

He said the real failure is INEC for running an old system of electioneering in the 21st century. Shameful.

In a text message to DAILY POST in Calabar on Wednesday, Mr Duke who was the former governor of Cross River State said, “In my letter to Prof. Yakubu, I stated that the postponement a few hours to the commencement of voting makes the outcome of the process contaminated. And this remains so”.

The Presidential candidate, however, urged Nigerians to rally round the winner to move the country forward, “Regardless, I urged Nigerians to rally round the winners to move our country forward. ”
