There were only three match days, before the two-week recess. However, Salihu Abubakar, who is the League Management Company (LMC) Chief Operating Officer, has revealed that Week 4 matches will be rescheduled due to NFF directives.

Abubakar also added that the new resumption date, will enable players and club officials to participate in the upcoming governorship elections, while allowing clubs on the continent concentrate fully in their various competitions.

“All Match Day 4 fixtures will now hold on Sunday, April 19 and we will release the date for Match day 5 ties in due time,” Abubakar said.

FC Taraba are currently top of the league after the first three matches, with seven points –  one clear of Heartland FC in second place. El Kanemi Warriors, Gabros FC and Kwara United complete the top five.
