Here are top five stories that made headlines in Nigeria this evening

1. Over nine persons lost their lives while many others are still missing after separate attacks orchestrated by suspected herdsmen in Guma and Logo LGAs of Benue State.

DAILY POST reported that six persons were killed in Tse Shan, and two in Tse Nyamkyume in Saghev, Guma LGA, while one person was killed in Tse Ngo Jov Tombo Logo LGA in a nother attack that happened late last night.

2. In case you missed it, we brought to you the report that thieves in the early hours of today, invaded the camp of the Super Falcons of Nigeria in Banjul, The Gambia.

Members of the Nigerian female national, who were due to play their Gambian counterpart for a ticket to the finals of the African Women Nations Cup had their valuables stolen by the intruders.

3. Earlier on Wednesday, Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Mines and Steel Development, formally bowed out of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.

Fayemi, an All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the upcoming governorship election in Ekiti State bowed out of Buhari’s cabinet with a special valedictory session held in his honour.

4. A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna on Wednesday afternoon granted the former Governor of the state, Ramalan Yero bail.

The presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Shuaibu on Wednesday in ruling admitted the former governor to N1 million bail and two sureties in like sum, among whom must own a landed property in Kaduna state.

5. We also report that the Super Eagles of Nigeria went down 1 – 0 to Czech Repblic in an International friendly played in Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion, a city subdivision of Schwechat, Austria.

Tomas Kalas 25th minute goal was what separated the both teams.
