“Nigeria is stagnant under Jonathan’s government” – Lai Mohammed

The National publicity secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) ,Alhaji Lai Mohammed has lamented over what he called, the under-performance of President Goodluck Jonathan administration.

Mohammed described Nigeria under Goodluck as a stagnant Nation where no meaningful development is noticed.

He said since the inception of office of the President, youth unemployment, and poverty has pervaded the country.

The ACN chieftain spoke with journalists yesterday in Akure, the Ondo state capital shortly after the Youth for Change Forum organized by the party for the youth in the state.

He said Nigerian voted for Jonathan with emotion not minding his political antecedents. His words “it appears to me that Nigerians are voting emotionally not asking themselves questions before casting their votes. The last 17 months, frankly speaking look more like 17 years to an average Nigerian giving the share amount of scandalous and under-performance of the federal government. I hope that Nigerians today, before they will vote for anybody, they will want to ask the past record of that fellow.

“They all voted for a man who set out as a deputy governor and by default became a governor. Within less than a year, he was nominated to come Vice-President and again by default, because of the ill-health of the President, became Acting-President and then by another default, he became President.

“And this is a man that Nigerian put their hope in. I hope that this will teach Nigerians a lesson that next time, they will be more critical about who they will vote for”.

Mohammed urged Nigerians to access personalities before entrusting them with exalted position in the country.
