Nigeria hosts 73rd session African Parliamentary Union

Senate on Thursday disclosed that Nigeria would host the 73rd meeting of the African Parliamentary Union (APU) in Abuja.

The year’s session is scheduled for October 2 – 3, 2018.

Secretary-General of the APU, Mr. Nzi Koffi, disclosed this in Abuja in a meeting with the Senate President Bukola Saraki, and the leadership of the National Assembly.

Saraki said he was delighted with the development and pledged that all efforts will be made to ensure that the convocation was successful.

In his remarks, Koffi who thanked Saraki and the leadership of the National Assembly for the acceptance, added that the visit was under the auspices of the organising committee for the meeting.

He also expressed satisfaction at the level of preparation done by the legislature and members of the local organising committee towards a hitch-free confab.
