The Dream Team VI have qualified for the African U-23 Championship in Senegal, after playing out a 0-0 draw with Congo in Pointe Noire.

Samson Siasia’s boys won the first 2-1 in Port Harcourt and held their ground against the Junior Red Devils on their home turf.

Nigeria will now join Algeria, Egypt, South Africa, Zambia and Tunisia, who have also qualified for the eight-team tournament, which will kick off in December this year.

The competition will also produce Africa’s three flag bearers to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
