The presidential and National Assembly elections recorded a very low turnout in Zamfara State as many people were busy doing their legitimate endeavours.

Again the elections did not start on time according to the INEC arrangement due to the late arrival of the election materials, saying that the elections started at about 11.36am.

When interviewed, some of the electorates told DAILY POST that they are tired of fake promises from the politicians which they said have been deceiving them since 1999.

Others noted that they cannot return to their towns and villages due to the fear of being killed by the almighty armed bandits or kidnappers as they said the terrorists have been having free days in the state without any interruption by the security operatives in the state.

However, DAILY POST authoritatively reports that there were enough security network everywhere in the state, as security operatives were searching vehicles very thoroughly before they are allowed passage.

Our reporter gathered that the turnout of voters was not impressive and has indicated that things have fallen apart and the centers can no longer hold.
